My London Favorites
I often get asked for my personal recommendations in London. I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite spots, some touristy and some not so much. Enjoy!
Tower Bridge Tour Very historic. A London
Staple and tourist must see. The Crown Jewels are amazing!!
Coppa Club Perfect stop after your visit to Tower Bridge for lunch
or dinner. Ask to be seated in the pods/igloos for an extra amazing view of the London Brigde. Kid friendly.
Fortnum and Mason For proper English High Tea, a MUST do 😬 (but not so kid friendly). Fancy and very traditional.
Battersea park children’s zoo An adorable smaller zoo just across the river from Chelsea. Perfect for little ones (3 and under).
Hampton Court Palace My favorite palace. Home of Henry the VIII. Historic, gorgeous and has a children’s play place just outside.
Here are some obvious ones that you can pretty much see in one afternoon on an open top bus tour:
The London Eye A giant Ferris wheel great views of the city.
Natural history museum Better for slightly older kids. Located in Kensington (one of my favorite neighborhoods) in an absolutely stunning building.
Definitely try and do a Sunday Roast if you can. This is a traditional meal that most English people have every Sunday. Think heavy, meat and potatoes kinda meal. With gravy… yum. Every pub will do one. But this one I LOVED during our last visit and it’s very kid friendly.
Windsor Castle This is just outside of London, about 45 minutes but worth it in my opinion. If you get a chance, definitely go see this castle. The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took take place there in May!! 💕😬💕
The Westfield Shopping Center in Shepherd’s Bush is pretty massive and cool, if you like shopping.
Made in Italy My all time favorite Italian place. Get the carbonara.
Some other restaurants I like:
Wagamama Asian fusion
The Chutney Beyond incredible Indian food
If you are planning to visit London soon I hope this list can help you a bit. It is a massive city with so much to see and eat 🙂 It does sometimes feel like a second home to me and my family, I’m so thankful that we get to travel back and forth so often.
